Free Range Green Eggs
Are they really green eggs? Well, not the ones Dr Seuss enjoyed....
Green Eggs is located near Great Western, Victoria. The 456 hectare property, owned by Alan and Shelley Green, is situated amongst red gums on rolling hills with views to the Grampians and Pyrenees. There are 22,000 free range brown hens (referred to as 'the girls'!) who lay 11,500 dozen eggs per week. The hens live in state of the art new housing and have unlimited access to feed and water and are allowed to roam the pastures. Italian Maremma livestock dogs also roam with the girls 24 hrs a day to protect them from predators.
Green eggs are produced in a humane way. Freshness and quality are the most important things, along with the happiness and welfare of the girls and environmental sustainability.
The Green eggs are delivered within 4 days of laying to ensure freshness.
