Serves: 4; Preparation Time: 20 mins (you can make this dish for up to 1 hour ahead) - 2 punnets strawberries
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 4 tbsp clotted cream
- (or 100 ml pouring cream, 2 tbsp sugar & 1 tsp vanilla extract whipped together)
- 2 tbsp flaked almonds
- Wash the strawberries and then dry thoroughly before you hull them (remove green bits).
- Combine with sugar and balsamic vinegar and refrigerate for no more than 1 hour otherwise they will go mushy. Stir once or twice along the way.
- Serve in chilled bowls with a dollop of clotted cream (or whipped pouring cream mix above), sprinkle with flaked almonds.
