Red Seedless Watermelons

Seedless watermelons were developed by crossing different varieties of regular watermelons. they have the same skin colour, flesh and flavour as regular watermelon . They differ only in their seed content. Seedless watermelons contain very few seeds and those they do contain are small, immature edible seeds. Seedless watermelons are good when enjoyed fresh from the store, added to salads or used to make drinks.

How to buy

Look for seedless watermelons with firm, smooth skin. They should feel relatively heavy for their size, and if tapped lightly should sound hollow.

How to store

Watermelons don't ripen after picking so enjoy soon after purchase. Store whole melons at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Once cut, store in the fridge.
