Red Globe Grapes

Red Globe grapes are large, round grapes with red to dark-red skin. They have crisp skin and juicy, sweet flesh. They are a seeded variety, with quite large seeds. Red Globe grapes are great enjoyed fresh on their own, added to salads, or used in sweet and savoury dishes. Available between February and May.

How to buy

Look for firm and plump grapes. Their stems should be green and fresh looking, and their skins should be brightly coloured, with no discoloured patches.

How to store

Store grapes in a plastic bag in the crisper section of your fridge for 2 to 3 days.

How to cook

For a fresh drink for entertaining, combine 2 litres orange juice with 1 litre apple juice, 1 litre lemonade and 1 litre ginger ale. Stir through orange and apple cubes, mint leaves and ice cubes then add 1 cup frozen Red Globe grapes.

For a fresh dessert, brush a prepared pizza base with olive oil and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Bake until crisp. Spread pizza with cream cheese then top with Red Globe grapes, sliced bananas and sliced green kiwifruit. Drizzle with lemon juice then serve.
