How to Buy

Look for bright red or yellow tomatoes with a smooth skin. They should feel relatively heavy for their size, and be free of any soft patches.

How to store

They should be stored in a single layer at room temperature, out of direct sunlight for 2-3 days or in the crisper section of your fridge for up to a week. For best flavour, tomatoes should be brought to room temperature before using.

How to cook

Make a fresh summer salad by combining shredded chicken, slices of Hass Avocado, baby spinach leaves, sliced gourmet tomatoes and toasted pine nuts.

For a salad with a twist, arrange sliced tomatoes on a serving plate and top with sliced onion and coriander. Drizzle with lime juice and sprinkle sea salt.

You can dish up a quick and easy entry by arranging slices of gourmet tomatoes on places, top with buffalo mozzarella and drizzle with virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Season with rock salt and pepper and decorate with fresh basil leaves.
