Brown Onions

Brown onions are harvested in ranging sizes, form picking size to the large BBQ size, with a bronze to brown skin with yellowish flesh, Onions are available all year round and make a flavour-base for many dishes. Use raw in salads or cooked in soups, casseroles, pastas and barbeque.

How to cook

For caramelised onions, saut? sliced onions in olive oil over low heat until soft. Add 2 teaspoons brown sugar and continue cooking until golden.

Cook onions in olive oil over low heat until soft as base for soups, frittatas and casserole dishes.

Chop onion and use as a flavoursome addition to tomato salads.
