You'll be apples!

You can easily distinguish Red Delicious Apples from other varieties because they have 5 bumps around the 'eye', also called 'crown'. It is the most widely grown dessert apple in the world and originated in the United States. Red Delicious apples have sweet, crisp flesh. The skin is usually deep red with slivers of green.

Just in time to go 'back-to-school', this week we have brought in 1kg-prepacked Red Delicious Apples for you. Pop one in the lunch box or add a grated Red Delicious to Bircher muesli for a hearty start into the day!

For dessert, core and cut into wedges. Drizzle with some maple syrup and bake until tender and golden. - Delicious, served with ice-cream.
