Chef's Secret

Makes 1 large (30cm) pizza, or 4 small individual ones
Try the Geoff Jansz pizza bases for a delicious hand made base.

Hearts of Palm Pizza

  • 30cm thin pizza base
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • pinch oregano dried leaves
  • 4 Tbsp tomato passata
  • 120g mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 150g drained and sliced hearts of palm
  • 1/3 small onion, thinly sliced
  • salt & pepper to taste
  1. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees
  2. Drizzle olive oil over the pizza base
  3. Spread the tomato passata
  4. Disperse the finely chopped garlic evenly. Spread mozarella cheese and the parmesan cheese throughout the top.
  5. Sprinkle with dried oregano leaves. Place the sliced hearts of palm on top with onion slices
  6. Cook the piza for about 9-10 mins, until sufficiently browned and melted to your liking.
